New synergy with the ODYSSEV Project!

We are pleased to announce a new synergy with ODYSSEV (Optimised DYnamics of high voltage powertrains: developing Sustainable Systems for Electric Vehicles), a Horizon Europe project advancing the next generation of high-voltage electric vehicle powertrains.

Both PREVENT and ODYSSEV are members of the 2Zero Partnership, creating a strong basis for collaboration, knowledge exchange and joint communication in support of Europe’s transition towards sustainable electric mobility.

Launched in January 2026 and coordinated by Fundación CIRCE – Centro de Investigación de Recursos y Consumos Energéticos, ODYSSEV brings together 14 partners from 8 countries, with a total budget of €6 million.

As electric mobility evolves, improving vehicle efficiency, extending driving range, accelerating charging and reducing costs remain key challenges. ODYSSEV addresses them through advanced high-voltage powertrain technologies, including an innovative hybrid inverter combining RC-IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs, a reconfigurable battery architecture, an optimised electric motor and advanced powertrain control.

PREVENT and ODYSSEV approach electric mobility from complementary perspectives. While ODYSSEV focuses on improving the performance, efficiency and integration of high-voltage powertrain components, PREVENT addresses cybersecurity and resilience across the electric vehicle ecosystem, including vehicles, charging infrastructure and connected systems.

As vehicles and charging infrastructure become increasingly connected, both technological performance and cybersecurity are essential to the development of reliable and sustainable electric mobility. This creates opportunities for knowledge exchange and joint communication around the challenges and innovations shaping the future of electric vehicles.

We are looking forward to exploring joint communication and visibility activities and strengthening our synergies within the 2Zero Partnership, as well as working together towards a more efficient, secure and sustainable electric mobility future for Europe.
